Programming SMCs

So, does anyone yet know if it is possible to maybe dump the firmware of a working smc and write it to a brand new, maybe even already reballed SMC? we are stuck on using donor boards and trying to get lucky finding working ones for our repairs, it would be awesome to make a library for every firmware and simply write them on a new chip.. I guess one can dream, but seriously, has someone out there succeeded in such operation?

It's not going to happen unless someone leaks the binary files needed, so probably never. You cannot read these chips.

What is the jtag port just for flash efi rom there is no other function on it ? Curious about how apple factory program smc
