retina display image question

Hi all,

if oyu have a retina display when you put a light on the backside of the display
you can see the apple logo when the machine is turned off.
if you plugin the charger
you cannot see the apple logo anymore.

is this Always like this or only when you have a backlight issue

so does this also happen when you have a no image problem?

the image will stop the light from shining through

so that means image is there just no backlight

you should be able to see an image if you shine a light through. What voltage do you get on backlight?
