Hi doing first real logic board component repair.
Replaced capacitor using schematic and your video.
now MacBook Pro 15 2010 in constant reboot.
am I using the wrong part? I believe th cap is proper orientation.
Thanks!

It looks ok and looks the right way round. I think that you've knocked off R5413 which is a current sensing double resistor which is normally present (at least on the boards i've done this to) to the bottom left of the replaced cap in your picture.
Hi Duke,
Thanks for the advice much appreciated.
I left the heat sync on to protect the chips. Hope the solder under the CPU is ok.
Ill check the schematic to find what resistor to replace it with. R5413
Hi Duke
I did a search for the R5413 on other logic boards I have and it comes back with a single resistor.
Can this be ordered off mouser? or is there a substitute search or parts?
Thanks
Hi Duke,
I asume capacitors will read 1 direction and not the other.
Resistors are Black in color? Caps areBrown or do I have to use schematics.
Using Fluke meter but hard to hold component steady without it flying away.
What are you trying to do? It is not hard to find a 0.001 Ohm sense resistor on a schematic and take it off a board. Take any scrap board and find sense resistors, then look in schematic if it is the same value as R5413.
