[SOLVED] 2879 keyboard connector

This is the first time I replace a keyboard connector. The old one was partly damaged.
Now all keys work except capslock. Nothing happens when i press it, no green light on button.
The keyboard is new and i tried other with same result.
What can by wrong? I checked all connections

Is it just the light that does not work or the key does nothing? If the key is not working there must be more keys that don't work or it is simply another bad keyboard.

no light and no function. I think that I'll try another connector tomorrow.
Is there a schematic over the keyboard? What key goes to what pin?? didn't find on google

yes I understand what you are writing. It is only caps lock that doesn't work no matter what keyboard I'm using. J5714 pin 14?

As far as I know pin 14 is just for the LED. Just measure all pins on diode mode, probably bad soldering or bad connector.

Found it. Bad trace between J5714 pin 15 and U5701 pin 39. Noticed that P didn't work either. Now it's all perfect.

That is why I asked f there were more keys that did not work....anyway it is fixed.
