the machine powers on, but wont boot up, l4500 was blown off, and replaced and is getting 5v but still no harddrive. how do you go about a diag for this kind of problem?

also it wont boot to usb flashdrive or to boot window. to select what drive to boot to

Can you get a blinking ? or get to boot menu? Use external keyboard to do PRAM reset.

yay that was it, thank you. feel kind of dumb for not thinking of that, ive never had to repair a hard drive circuit b4 and wasn't sure if i was missing something. thank you very much

This was caused by a bad HDD, so make sure they don't put that back in.
