[SOLVED]820-2936 - iSight cable connector ripped off

Says it all in the title. Customer super glued the damn thing to the motherboard... Is it possible to splice the cable and connect one from an old screen? Or do I have to disassemble the whole screen assembly?
Thanks!

i wouldn't bother splicing it, i reckon it would be far faster, cleaner and more reliable to replace the cable.
IIRC if the cable gets pinched it will cause fast fans due to SDA and SCL lines on it, so if your splicing it better be a perfect soldering job.

The cable consists of a few small coax cables. A complete nightmare if you want to spice. Pull the glass and replace the cable.

Hmmm.... Seems like a lot of trouble for this connector, but I guess it has to be done.
Anyway, as always, thanks for your good suggestions!
