[SOLVED] 820-2936 : No keyboard, no trackpad, won't recognize drive

Greetings,

I have an 820-2936 with no signs of water damage on either side of board. Boots fine with good video but will not recognize keyboard, trackpad, or drive.

All voltages good on KB connector SMC_ONOFF__L signal is High (not sure if that is good or bad)

power to USB ports, makes a bootable thumb drive flash but will not boot to it.

u4500 has good supply voltages and is enabled
Sata connector has good voltages

Thoughts on where to proceed? Not sure what all 3 have in common other than they feed the same chip.

thx, Paul

Hi,
I doubt Sata has a common issue with trackpad/keyboard.
SMC_ONOFF_L signal high is good.

First check if at least one usb port is getting data not only power:
Try on both usb port with external usb keyboard, start and hold alt key (windows keyboard) or option key (mac keyboard) to get the boot menu
