[SOLVED]820-3437 fine with no batt, connect batt no green / orange

Hi.

Got this machine in, no liquid at all.
Was no green or orange.
Was no PPBUS
Was 3V42

Changed ISL and board powers, POSTs and boots and has green / orange but only with no battery.
Connect battery and green LED flickers a little. That's it.

About to start checking current sensing.

Any clues ?

I would do some measurements with battery connected. 3V42 even present?

Hang on, PPBUS is at 19 fucking volts!, that's with no batt. I'll sort this PPBUS voltage out first.
Then it drops to 8.15 with batt connected so I guesss it's loosing comms with the SMC.

To answer your question though, yes 3V42 is there with batt connected.

That is pretty sure a dead ISL6259 and the FET. It does commonly kill the battery too....
