[SOLVED]820-3437 no SMC_DELAYED_PWRGD

Hi,

I have 820-3437 board liquid damaged in u5110 area. I have cpuvcore 1.7v but no chime no fan spin .
I found pm_pch_pwrok missing and ALL_SYS_PWRGD present but no SMC_DELAYED_PWRGD.

There is no short to ground in Delayed_pwrgd line.

Inspected U1950 for liquid damage? Any corrosion near SMC/BIOS area?

Hi John, u1950 has been replaced due to liquid dmg and smc replaced. check witha different bios still the same. I get the clock signal properly.

Does PP3v42 make it to pin 8 on U1950?

yes it is. problem is smc_delayed_pwrgd doesnt come to pin 6 on u1950. and thats why no pm_pch_sys_pwrok and pm_pch_pwrok not present

R5191 checked? Voltage present on resistor by chance? Also resistance to ground on SMC_DELAYED_PWRGD?

Seems like SMC issue to me. Was SMC replaced from identical donor board? Try another one.

Hi Duke, spot on right and solved. I replaced the SMC from identical donor board but that smc faulty as well. I replaced another SMC and it works fine. Thank you for your help.
