[SOLVED]SMC PID Sensor tripped issue

I'm working on a 2009 20.5" imac not even sure about what the board number is. the machine runs just fine, but the fans are on full speed. ( i know we don't normally work on these, which is why its more of a signal question in general.) i ran ASD OS and it failed for 0x0: SMC PID Sensor check has been tripped. it also failed for ethernet controller, and Temp(Tp0P)- AC/DC Supply Temperature [SMC error TM_TEMP_BELOW_MIN. i wondering if anyone has had experience in this issue.

I'm wondering if its more of an smc failure or if there is something else going on that I'm missing?

There is a temp sensor in the power supply. Check cables and try another PSU.

thanks just found a used power supply laying in the scrap pile. fingers crossed that its not the the dam cables.

changed power supply, issues still present. i changed out the cables(what a pain in the ass!) problem solved.
