820-3332 - internal display is not working, external is working.

no backlight, no image appear on screen. however external screen is working.

...like the macbook isn't detecting the screen.

i dont have a spare screen to test.

Asd os show 3 "mux switching" has failed. and sometime kernel panic when boot to desktop.

i've tried drag solder on U8900. problem still remain.

damn, just checked lcd cable. pin1 on its own is shorted to GND. how difficult is it to replace the cable?

Do you get any symbol errors in ASD? Sometimes it can be a cap between the mux & LCD connector that got knocked off that causes no vide but from what you tell me of your screen cable, you need to try a new screen.. screen and cable both.

How did this come to be? Dropped, liquid, or out of the blue?

Not liquid damage. Cant see any corrosion under microscope. Customor said "screen start flickering then suddently stop working"

Yes, its stange. I get random text lines appear before it tries to load ASD OS.


customer decide not to repair. new screen replacement cost too much.

LCD cable can be changed in 5 minutes on a retina LCD!

any tutorials. i think i need to practice on a broken screen before this procedure. there isnt one on youtube.

also can i use a 2014 15" on a 2012 for LCD testing?
