A1398 LCD Replacement???

We had customer bring in a 2013 A1398 with cracked LCD. We replaced the LCD and there is no backlight/image. We tried 2 different LCDs and neither worked. We reinstall the old LCD and backlight and scrambled image is there. Has anyone seen anything like this before??? I know there is a difference between 2015 A1398 LCD and 2012-2014 LCDs. But is there different models for the 2012-2014?? We have replaced these before and never experienced this issue??

2 of the LP154WT1-SJAV was installed and not working. LP154WT1 SJE1 was model of broken one that came out of laptop. I was under the impression the "SJAV" model was compatible with all 2012-2014 A1398????
