Have a 820-3115 that had L9004 burned from bent pins being inserted into lcd connector. I have since replaced L9004 and have jumper running to pins 2 and 3 and C9012 but everytime board powers up the jumper burns itself and then only get backlight with no question mark folder or apple logo.

    What m I missing here?

Do you have a short on pin 2 of the inductor??? Sounds like there is a short in the LCD connector that keeps blowing the inductor...

Check for short at pins 2/3 of J9000 w/ and w/o LCD connected.
If short only appears when insert de video cable, then bad cable, connector, or LCD assembly.
If not, just bad connector (lucky case).

Never power up the board before checking for short, like in this case...

I get a short on meter everytime I have L9004 connected to the pins on J9000. Cant be LCD connector, already replaced it. Once I disconnect L9004 short goes away. Do I need to solder L9004 somewhere else?

It doesnt matter where I solder L9004. Tried TP PP3V3_LCDVDD_SW for one side and ran jumper from other side to pins 2 and 3 and as soon as jumper wire is ran short returns

                Did you change LCD connector?
Forget about C9015, not really needed.

Scratch the board at pad 2/L9004, short could be there too.
I f is the case, cut off the trace between L9004 and J9000; then run a wire from pad 1/L9004.
