Smashed GPU on 820-3332-a

Hi. Ok so weird situation here. This is my personal macbook.
its a 820-3332-a board that stopped booting all of a sudden.
i had problems with the display that would sometimes refuse to turn on after sleep.

i opened it to find the top of the gpu smashed and pieces of it all around the case.

The machine was not dropped, moved even touched between the time it was working vs not.

is it possible that it is a coincidence and that it was working even with this chip in pieces ?

did it explode ?

Board is (and was) not working with that damage. It happened recently, possibly from a surge on 3v3_s5 or via audio circuit. That's not the GPU, it's the PCH. RIP your board unless you feel like replacing it and cleaning the BIOS.

What do you mean by "cleaning the BIOS" ?

Once PCH is changed, ME region MUST be cleaned into BIOS...
