[SOLVED] 820-3330 No TP/KB

Hey!
Got this board with mild damage by SMC. Also C4920, R5313 and C5304 were knocked off but have been replaced. Everything seems to work but TP and KB.

R5806 - 18.7 V
Pin 22 of J5800 - 3.3V

USB KB and Mouse both work. Multiple TP's and cables tested.

Keyboard and TP listed under USB devices? Rest of the USB devices working?

Hi Duke. Not sure about your first question, I dont have the computer with me. I was able to boot into OS off of external drive via USB and USB KB/MS works. Internal TP/KB doesnt work in OS or EFI.

I think what he means is the internal KB and T-PAD are on the USB hub.... Same as the camera and WiFi is on the USB. Look in System Report > USB and see what is listed there....

Here, if you use this and type in USB in the search feild you will see that it will update what devices are attached to and removed from USB ports in real time, where as System Report does not.

With internal TP and KB connected as well as external USB KB/MS using software provided by GB. Its sees my external Apple KB and Optical mouse. Nothing internal detected. Thank you for jumping in and providing your assistance GB, that program is a good tool to have around. Apperciate it!

Camera and wifi both work. U5701 also replaced.

Update -
Ran ASD. KB/MS lockup after initial POST test.
I dont know what I was looking for it to tell me anyway... That my KB/TB isnt working? LOL .

No... My external KB and mouse lockup after initial post test. Does the searching for hardware thing and says ready to test, but I cant select Test at this point, which has happened before on other machines so not sure if its related or a different issue all together. Either way there is 0 functionality on internal TP/KB.

Check all traces from U5701 to the trackpad. Also check the 18V supply to trackpad, it needs to be connected to check this.

R7803 was good. All traces were good. Noticed that BT was also missing in sys report which I should have notice much earlier. Replaced U2700. All is good. Thanks again for the assistance GB and as always Duke.

That is why I asked if all other USB devices were working. Anyway it is fixed now.
