OK update* - UT350 changed and problem solved so in this case UT350 appeared ok and produced output voltage. But was hot under thermal. I did also change UT370 but wasn’t the issue because I put the old chip on the working board and it still worked. Put old UT350 on donor and trackpad stopped...

Ah ok thanks so a lot of the trackpad signals I mentioned originally are high and therefore disabled. I will change UT350 due to the heat coming off it and then report back. Should have a working donor in next few days to compare

I noticed UT350 is getting hot under thermal cam despite voltages seem ok. May change it anyway

No liquid to the board, only keyboard. So inputs should match outputs? Even if signal is _L?

Machine came in originally with no keyboard and no trackpad after liquid spill. Using known good Topcase and trackpad, same issue. I found a level shift that was not outputting 3.3v and after changing keyboard works but trackpad still doesn’t. Unsure what to check next as everything is...

All big coils are measuring in kohms except CPU VCORE which is around 3ohm. Even with heat sink removed still nothing hot. Sounding like a dead CPU, will take note on injecting voltage above 2 for PPBUS

Damn! I was able to boot to a known good OS and into the recovery partition but niether of them can actually see the internal drive. Yet it attempts to boot to it on a normal boot up... very strange

Hi all, got a strange 12inch MacBook here. Original issue was that it booted but to a flashing question mark. Narrowed this down to the Audio cable. now it boots to the volume but slowly and then shows the prohibitory sign. The IPD cable is also shorting US_G3H_TPAD_F to ground on F4800 and...

Gave up on this one in the end, I plugged the original LCD back in and it fried pin 1 (again!). I would have needed to change the LCD connector again too as that melted inside. Time to move on as I've run out of donor boards for this. Thanks everyone!

Yes trace looked okay because I saw it and unplugged immediately, then reworked all pads and soldered the new connector.

I changed U7701 twice because I thought the same but no luck there either. I did however forget to mention when I first replaced Q7706 and plugged in, pin 1 on the LCD connector completely fried along with Q7706. After this I obviously replaced the LCD connector and Q7706. It hasn't done that...

Hi both, I have tried a PRAM reset but not since replacing the components so will try that later on and report back. I also replaced U7750 with no luck. SCL/SDA lines were pulsing when I checked but will double check later on. Diode mode on backlight output is 0.750 which I believe is normal...
