Thank you for the reply 2informaticos. I get the same thermal spot on that same chip with both ports. The other chip doesn’t show any heat regardless of which port I connect to. I haven’t tried UF260 flashing

I have an 820-02016 which initially came in because they said it needed a new battery. Tested and it won’t go to 20v, just sits at 5v. Amps go up to .240-250 and cycles off. Both ports do the same in both rotations Tested with a known good battery with charge and it powers on perfectly but...

There is no external display. The board seems to power on with fans spinning at a normal speed for 10 seconds and then the fans burst to 100% for 2 seconds before restarting the cycle. The J8500 reading from S-UEM2 shows pins 31, 33, 37, 38, 39, 40 all slightly high. I've attached a photo

Delayed response to your reply 2informaticos, sorry. Pin 1 & 3 are both .401v in diode mode. This seems normal as far as I can tell.

Liquid damage around J5100 and some on the LCD connector on the screen end. Removed J8500 ribbon as that was burnt at the screen end. Replaced the ribbon. ( PP5V_S0SW_LCD pin was burnt at screen end ) No short on this line. Cleaned area around J5100, connected board to a good lcd to test...

0.387 in diode mode so I think its not shorted. U9580 has PPBUS_G3H_SSD0_SNS = 12.5v P2V5_PGOOD = 0v P2V5_EN_R = 0v It seems from the schematic for TPS62180 that PGOOD is an output and the fact that it isn't getting P2V5_EN_R could be because of U9500 or like you say, SSD voltages aren't there...
