    2011 GPU "Repair"

Actually this mod was done first by Dosdude1, the guy who created "macOS Mojave Patcher Tool for Unsupported Macs" : http://dosdude1.com/mojave/ Here is his video in English: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbXb0gfRxEY

MacBook developpement mainboard - Have you guys ever seen a board like that?

Here is a 820-00164-02 from a customer: https://youtu.be/lKsauXvYJDQ He didn't know he had such thing in his Mac. He was supposed to have a 820-3435 board (2013 MacBook Air 11") Must have been replaced by a shop while he got his screen replaced... though why?!... hahaha

Mac Pro 2013 - A1481 - Anyone has experience with these machines?

Hi, I have that MacPro which just light the I/O board for a few seconds and then turns off. I can't even say it tries to turn on. After disassembling the unit, I've found some corrosion on the interconnection board. I have reworked that board as thorougly as I could but no improvements. I am...

820-00165 No fan spin - Pulses nearly everywhere

I am having the same issue with PPBUS on same board model. Mine hasn't been bent but liquid damaged near SMC/Thunderbolt circuitry. I've tried everything like replacing SMC, dumping Bios, replacing Bios chip, replacing U6101, checking for short on rails. No real short but just 2 rails with a...

PPBUS_G3H = 1.67volts Should lead you to think you have either a short on that rail or the ISL is bad...

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

Since these current sensing goes to SMC, can I simply try to bypass the SMC?

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

Yeah but still, not being able to find out what is causing it. I assume it has to be a partial short or transistor on an S4, S3 or S0 rail opening and creating the short when the board is turning on, right? Since I am bypassing the ISL disconnecting the Fuse, it can't be the current sensing...

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

Resistance to ground for Vcore is 15 ohms. With a battery plugged in or the charger, same thing, something is pulling down PPBUS at some point when starting. It can't be a bad sensing resistors since the same thing is happening if I am bypassing the ISL. I've plugged my PS on PPBUS_G3H at the...

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

PP3V3_S5 is stable however PP5V_S5 is getting .1V increase during the time PPBUS drops slightly.

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

Yes I am sure it is 820-00165 SMC. It did start even the first time after replacing it but then nothing. I am thinking replacing it again but since PPBUS is dropping slightly in voltage I believe the problem lies there. CPU Vcore is pulsing as all the signals connected to U1950 but at the same...

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

Resistances on U7100 measure fine. U7100 has already been replaced. Doesn't start either if battery is plugged. PPBUS_G3H is 8.4V with battery and dropping to 7.2V for a shorter time. Sounds like an S4, S3 or S0 rail if pulling my PPBUS down isn't it? The only slight difference in voltage drop...

[SOLVED]SSD replacement on Function keys MacBook Pro 13 from 2017 - possible?

Hi, a little bit bit off topic... Can someone tell me if a replacement is possible or is there a lock (like with the Wi-Fi card)? I know the drives are swappeable on this model but will the system recognize the new drive inserted or not? if not, anything we could do to bypass that? About to...

820-00165 Pulsing, started after SMC replacement, PPBUS_G3H drop slightly

On U1950, all signals come for about 200ms each however SMC_DELAYED_PWRGD goes to 3.3V for about 50ms. Is that normal? Also if system is pulsing, can I assume there are not short on rails or it is a possibility? That PPBUS_G3H dropping to 6.5V is a lead for sure but what could cause this?!
