2012 15" MacBook Pro Power Button Issue

Thank you for the specs on the components. Yes, SMC_ONOFF_L goes from 3.4 to 0 and back to 3.4v when the button is pressed and then released.

JESSA IS ALWAYS WRONG! 2012 13" Air - No Backlight

2012 15" MacBook Pro Power Button Issue

I did. It did the same thing with another new keyboard. I have a question... anyone have a better board view for the 820-3332-A board? The one I have, the u5010 area is missing two components... there is a cap and a resistor not on the BV... The resistor looks like it is connected to PIN 1 of...

Yeah, that's what I came to... Looks like I did find shit around U5010. Luckily I have a 2012 13" which has the same IC and caps/resistors... Monkey brain time...

2012 15" MacBook Pro Power Button Issue

820-3332 board. Mother just shipped to me to look at. She had still some water near the machine and obviously got inside... She did not send to me first and took it to an computer repair shop. I can not find any liquid or signs/evidence or clues of where liquid could/would have been. The only...

JESSA IS ALWAYS WRONG! 2012 13" Air - No Backlight

Just to confirm, I do have 0.589 diode mode from backlight output @ C9797. I also tested for continuity to pins3/4 on LCD connector from backlight output and the continuity is there.

JESSA IS ALWAYS WRONG! 2012 13" Air - No Backlight

If I recall correctly I did check the voltage drop to ground on FB (which is connected to output) and it was 0.583 I will check for continuity between L9701 and connector this afternoon.

JESSA IS ALWAYS WRONG! 2012 13" Air - No Backlight

2012 13" Liquid damaged Air 820-3209-A Has an image. No backlight. Went over Rossmann's no backlight sticky... I have 8.4 volts at left side of L9701 and 0.033V on the boosting side. I did have an F'd up LED driver. Half the pad was still there, but the connection between the pad and the...

2014 13" Air. No backlight/no video on built in

I have a 2014 13" Air. (actually is being sent to me) It runs and displays fine to an external monitor. My sister said she shined her phone led into the back of the apple logo and doesn't see anything (while it is displaying on the external.) There is no backlight and what seems to be, no image...

[SOLVED] 2010 MacBook Air 11" 820-2796-A No sleep when lid closed...

It was a bad trace from the pin 12 (SMC_LID) to the open pad for SMC_LID next to R6961 I just had to run a wire and all is well! Thanks! Just as an FYI for those who still mess with the 2010-2011 11" MacBook Air models... The IO/Audio board from 2010 will work in a 2011 model... BUT!!! Not the...

[SOLVED] 2010 MacBook Air 11" 820-2796-A No sleep when lid closed...

Correct me if I am wrong, but between two points of the same "signal", like GND to GND, in diode mode, it should be close to 0.000 correct? Like for instance, I measure from GND to GND and it is 0.000 however when I measure from SMC_LID at R6961 to SMC_LID on pin 12 on the trackpad connector, I...
