We have an 820-01041 in for battery replacement, customer states that it would just shut down when loading on battery and randomly shut down when not on power. Found when loading that there is kernel panics relating to AMD setpowerstate and when leaving the Mac to sleep it will reboot. I’m assuming this is a failing GPU. Is it confirmed that the GPUs in these are at fault and not some component like the old tantalum capacitor on the old 17” MBPs?
