Hi,
I've got a MBP A2442 with booting and display issues in the shop.
It came in for display repair, no backlight and not starting / booting.

With disconnected display cable the MacBook starts normally and boots to user login surface. (checked with external montitor)
With connceted display cable the MacBook starts to boot until keyboard and display backlight should come on. Then fails and reboots to the same status again and again.

could you please advice what to check and what could cause the issue?

Thank you very much in advanced!

If the problem appeared after display changed, check for mechanical damage.
Possibly damaged connectors, or knocked off components (near the board edge).

I've checked for for damaged connectors and knocked off components. It is all good and in place. I also tested with a different good working lid from an other machine but got the same results. (Starts booting and then fails).
I recognized a drop in voltage from 20.71V to 14.96V before booting fails
