I’m stuck, need some advice please. This board works fine on charger with no battery installed.
With a charged battery and no charger it also boots and works fine.
When battery is installed and you plug charger in, the icon says not charging the battery briefly then shows no charger connected...
Yeh I know better. You are exactly right. Unfortunately because I have no patience, frustration at myself and then desperation lead here..
Anyway yes 3.3v is there as well as tpad_vbus_en 3.3v
Have traced all keyboard and trackpad pins back to U4801 too.
Put a new u4801 on - no change
found it wasn’t doing a smc reset changed q4801 u4850 and u5110 started doing an smc reset but no working keyboard or trackpad.
Smc reset has stopped working again now. Reflowed smc cause getting desperate. No change.
So as of right now. External mouse works...
Changed trackpad and flex already. Was minor water damage but not there trackpad or keyboard areas.
keyboard has 3.3v at pin 30
and 3.4v at pin 4
trackpad has 5v pin 4 and 3.3v at pin 1
at one stage when testing pin1 on trackpad I touched ground too and it shorted and I had to replace r4808...
Bloody hell, just found R7125 was missing, not even there. I can't believe I missed it.. Put one on and I have 12.57v at F7140 now. Put back and we have fan spin and a Apple logo
Board had liquid damaged exclusively around U7100, cannot find evidence elsewhere.
Board gets orange and green lights on charger but not power on. PPBUS_G3H measures a fluctuating 3.9 - 4.1v, removed F7140 and PPVBAT_G3H_CHRG_REG measures the same fluctuation.
Changed U7100 numerous times...
Replaced Q7035, Q7030 another u7000 from donor board.
Pin 27/28 is 20.1ohm
Pin 16/17 is 2.9ohms
there is 16v on pin 2 U7000
0v on pin 3 U7000
smc_bc_acok is missing again too
and ppbus_g3h is now 0.5v
i replaced u7000 three times. All from donor board. Does anyone wanna help me persist with...
