Yes PCH, not gpu. I was working on another board and thought I wrote PCH, not GPU, no harm done, and my GPU is not mine, it's the client's. I understand the difference between a GPU, PCH, and CPU if you're worried about that ;) Thanks, 2informaticos for the help as always :)

U7852 contacts were looking funny, and with a new one, I got the same readings. The big coils all have good value, except for L7900 pin 2 PPVCCPCH_S5G is 0 reading diode mode. That leads to GPU. When I inject 0.5v the GPU heats up on the thermal camera. Also L8060 pin 2 takes voltage when...

Hi, repair people :) I have this A1708 MB that had no power. There were shorted caps C6425 and C6405, both CD type C controllers, and a P13USB32 chip(not on schematics or BW). After all that I plugged in and got 20v, it stays around 0.046 and then goes to 0.056. All Ics are taken from another...

Hi. I have this M1 A2337 board that powers on normally and I have a backlight and no image. I measured all voltages and diode mode readings on the LCD connector and all seem fine. The board doesn't show anything burned, and no liquid damage. I tried 2 other LCDs but still just backlight no...

When I replaced the U8440 from another board the laptop stopped showing a picture on an external monitor. Once I soldered back the original U8440, it started showing a picture again, but now the keyboard and trackpad are not working. I replaced another trackpad and flex for it but still the...

I'm not sure if the schematic was good. This BW I got is 820-02020-10, but now I found the 09 version, which shows that C8350 and R8410 are not connected on pin 1, and on the 09 version, they are marked R8410 and C8312, which matches the schematic. R8324 is 0v, not coming from that side the voltage

Hi. I have this A1708 no power draws 5v 0.020-0.030 range. This one I fixed 2 years ago and replaced U2800 and also one of the type c controllers. This time I re-balled U2800, and didn't work so I changed it from another board, and still the same. No short circuit on the board.
