Thanks 2informaticos! that helped at least locate the issue, backlight was ok without the i/o cable.
SMC LID was low because of...keeping my test speaker upside down with its magnet just beneath the sleep sensor. What a total troll...
Now I don't have audio, I mean it's not disabled, i see the...
Thanks for the suggestion Gmorb. Yeah it was powering on both with only charger or only battery. But there was no syswire communication.
It's fixed, somebody had used brutal force on J9500, as sys_onewire pin was moving, same thing for SMC_BC_ACOK. No corrosion at all, clean board...
Didn't...
It was really missing, now I have back smc_BC_ACOK 3,3V at pin 1 of J9500, but still no magsafe light.
I doubled checked the connector even in the internal pin#1 and I get 3.3V...
Still investigating..
I found this one a little tricky, no corrosion. I have no magsafe light at all.
PP3V42_G3H = 3,41V,
PPBUS_G3H, = 8,6V,
SMC_BC_ACOK=3.3V, present at I/O board J9500 connector
SYS_ONEWIRE=3,4V present at I/O board J9500 connector..
ISL6259 pins 17,18= 5ohms, 27,28=22ohms. DCIN 16V and ACIN (4.xV)...
Fans gradually ramping to full speed is usually related to TS0P, since TS0P sensor is located in the trackpad, either bad trackpad, bad trackpad cable or bad traces/pins on J4800. When SMC can't read trackpad sensor temperature it ramps up the fan.
In your case I am sure it's your connector...
PCH_SRTCRST_L should be higher around 3.3V
Check if R1802 measure ok, hard for a 20 kohms to go high but still possible it happens. Check also if any corrosion underneath the resistor ( I mean corrosion on the pad). Check also C1802.
See if any short on pin 2 of R1802.
It could be a pch issue...
I got trolled today with an early 2013 retina not seeing ssd, PP3V3_S0SW_SSD 3.3v was showing at both side of L3700.
But L3700 was high resistance, pratically no current flow. Replace and everything ok.
So check L700 jus in case.
Long time i didn't work on these boards, I simply checked on the schematic, but i don't have a board in front of me to confirm. Maybe it doesn't exist. Sorry
Look at U7740, it has pp3v3_S5 input on pin 3,4,6 and PP1V05_S5 on the output pin #1.
1) if you have a break in the traces and pp3v3_s5 never reach the input of u7740 you will never have PP1V05_S5 at the output. So please check pins 3,4,6
2)if pp3v3_s5 is present at pins 3,4,6 of u7740, remove...
I stopped working on this board, first time I encounter this issue next time I will not spend that much time;(
Thanks for your help and sharing your experience.
Thanks! Awsome, it works great and ASD EFI passed. Before it did'nt found the override file because only system and mlb serials were changed...
Now all is good. This post can be marked solved!
This one is cycling once and then stay on is that normal?
All rails present Vcore is at 1,7V, no reactions, no light when mouse is plugged...
History, no water damage, absolutely clean, customer say he felt laptop a little hot so he changed the thermal paste and he sprayed air can when it was...
I changed the serial + MLB numbers.
And copied the original 17D000 length block over the working bios. Is that what you refer to entirr Fsys block?
Thanks!
