Hi, everyone.
I need some help, please.
This Macbook came in with no power. After inspection I found
Liquid damage, corrosion near USB C controller (CF300)
Both ports were initially stuck on 5V
Replaced the USB C controller that is stuck on 5V, no difference.
Replaced the second USB-C...
Hi, Good morning.
Please, I need some help with this repair.
It turns on only on battery, but it won't turn on when it runs out of battery.
C520D blown/melted (PPDCIN_AON_CHGR_R). Removed.
Diode mode readings to ISL appear correct compared with a working board.
PPDCIN_AON = 5V...
Most likely it's a faulty LCD, a few times I found that numerous LCDs coming from China are faulty on arrival and cause all manner of issues; no boot, LCD test mode, etc.
The LCDs for 14"/16" Apple Silicon models are pretty much all factory rejects, could be as basic as colour temperature, to...
I know this is a niche and its unlikely there is any answer, but a shot in the dark is worth it
I replaced the LCD on a 2021 16" and customer complained about no FaceTime camera being detected and backlight issues - I replaced both ICs and backlight works fine now.
I have tested the customers...
Thanks for your reply. After removing PMIC again and checking yes CPU is shorted, I forgot to mention that PP1V8_S2 was short to ground, I suspect due to corrosion on the JF202.... Removed the WiFi IC and the short is gone... So board is a write off  Thanks for your time
Hi, I have this A2337 with liquid damage to the audio board and to the keyboard connector (PPBUS_AON_IPD_FLT - 3 pins completely gone on the FPC connector).
I removed UC850 and replaced but still had abnormal reading on this line, so the IC wasn't the issue.
PP1V8_AWAKE had a short due to...
R4805 was removed, and then I started to get 1.8V on pin 2.
So I decided to replace U4850, and voila, 1.8V was achieved.
Even then, the screen is not going to sleep. I replaced the right speaker and now everything is working fine.
Thank you.
Hi, everybody.
I need some, please.
This Mac had liquid damaged on the Audio board and its cable.
I've replaced both of than and Mac started to turn on.
But it sometimes will have a backlight for a second when turned on and then goes off.
PPVOUT_S0_LCDBKLT_F - 43.45V
Even when the backlight is...
I need help with this M1 Air, please.
According to the customer, it was liquid damaged a year ago and has been off since.
The main corrosion was on the U5200 and around.
I've replaced R5230, U5200, U5215 and U5216.
Was stuck on 5v 0.04A and after replacing all components it changed to 5V 0.190A...
Quick update for the community.
After replacing the following components, I was able to reinstall the system as usual:
U7800 Power Management IC
U9000 SSD NAND Power IC
U9080 SSD & PP3V3_G3H Power chip
Hi, good morning.
According to the customer, the Mac restarted after a few hours of working on it and then stopped booting into the system.
All awake and main power lines are present in the NAND modules and are not clinging.
I have tried the revive option, which goes through all the steps...
I've checked all the components in that area and everything seems fine.
All measurements in diode mode match flexbv.
Only CHGR_GATE_Q1_R which on flexbv is 0.650 and on my board is 0.901. But I don't think this is a problem.
Just in case, I've replaced the U5200 - RAA489900. Replaced by the ISL9240 the pins listed and VDDIO voltage in schematics are the same.
But same as before. No changes in the voltages.
