[SOLVED]820-3476 U8300 Getting Super Hot, Display Replaced

The whole circuit has a .003 reading in Diode mode but the confusing part is that with power / turned on it gets the 5v that is supposed to be running through the line all the way to the LCD connector like its supposed to. Could L8300 cause this?

[SOLVED]820-3476 U8300 Getting Super Hot, Display Replaced

A little history for this one. It's a coworker of mine's computer and over the weekend he plugged in an external USB DVD drive which caused his machine for some reason to shut completely off. When he tried to power it back on, the LCD was completely shot with a blank display (worked on external...

820-3435 Macbook Air SMC_RESET_L and No Power Button

No Title I don't see corrosion on the board connector anywhere but after shorting the R5115 pads i saw smoke (didn't happen the first time I tried it). Turns out the most simple and only part that I overlooked was actually the problem, trackpad cable. Burned itself right up.

820-00165 Progress Bar gets stuck at close to 100%

Is this from an internal SSD or trying to load a bootable drive as well? I'd recommend trying a bootable to rule out it being a failed SSD or corrupted software... if the same thing happens, pop it open and try it with just the bare minimum plugged in, keyboard, lcd, and charger. I had a retina...

820-3435 Macbook Air SMC_RESET_L and No Power Button

As the title says, I have a 3435 Air board that has no power button functionality but all other keys work. Followed back from keyboard connector to the SMC Reset circuit and I'm assuming this is where the problem lies. This board was very lightly water damaged but has been cleaned and this is...

    820-3330-b no green light

ISL will not work properly with missing R7005. Change the resistor first, verify there are no shorts and then make sure you have proper voltage on pin 2 and 3 of U7000 before replacing, unless of course U7000 is causing a short in which case you should just replace that as well.

    820-3332 Green light, Partial PP3V3_S5

Trying to diagnose a rush repair 820-3332 board that was liquid damaged near the top edges of the board. After UC I do have a green light on the charger but no fan spin (SMC Reset is recognized). I have many missing power rails but I do have PP3V3S5_EN on U7201 with a full 3.3v. On other areas...

    [SOLVED]820-3209 Missing PM_SLP_S4_L Headache..

I've been staring at this board for a long time now and for whatever reason cannot narrow down what's causing PM_SLP_S4_L to not enable. Received board with no obvious water damage or corrosion anywhere, it actually looks spotless. I do have PPBUS_G3H and a green light on the charger and what I...

    [SOLVED]820-3476 Backlight Troubleshooting

Well I did have to repair the trace between D7710 and R7731... but there's also a 2nd problem being that R7732 has continuity to ground on both sides.. Don't have another doner of this model board but I can probably find another resistor if needed.. Or would the chip be shorting it to ground?

    [SOLVED]820-3476 Backlight Troubleshooting

Yes I do see the apple logo each time I'm testing it. Very hard angle to test for continuity lol but yes, multimeter did in fact beep between pins 15/16 of the chip and 3/4 of the LCD connector.

So I have a 820-3476 board I bought off of eBay with no backlight and its been kinda throwing me for a loop for a little while now.
