Apple repair program

I have macbook pro 15 late 2011 with gpu issues. I'm sending it back to apple to be fixed. Do they usually replaice the motherboard or the whole computer?

I bought this like this. Has not done anything to it, only replaiced the hard drive. I dont have the receipt and has not sended to apple repair program. Should i send it to apple?

They will replace the board with a crappy refurb. Quality of the replacement boards is questionable. I say about 1 in 5 has to go back a 2nd time. Apple replaces the GPU somewhere in some Chinese sweat shop, it just sucks.

Keep in mind I am a target for a 400 billion dollar company that would like what I do to go away. What you type on a forum can and will be used and taken out of context to draw negative conclusions for the target should any legal proceeding come about.
