I checked everything in that area. Here is a list of all voltages at U7750 Pins. I also replaced U7750 with brand new one but still the same.
Pin1 8,4V
Pin2 0V
Pin3 0V
Pin4 1,5V
Pin5 0V
Pin6 0,87V
Pin7 0V
Pin8 0,32V
Pin9 0,34V
Pin10 0V
Pin11 0,07V
Pin12 0V
Pin13 0,2V
Pin14 0,34V
Pin15 0,34V...
I measured the same voltage with no cap installed at all. I don't have the same board to compare to. My reading is 0.251V to GND on C7771. Maybe somebody has a value/experience to compare it to?
Yes, it is impossible. I can't reproduce that 100%, but I guess what I did wrong was type PM_SLP_S3_L in open board view search, and it shows everything containing that name. Also PM_SLP_S3_L_INVERT on Q7221 Pin 2 which I think I measured... Sorry for the confusion.
Last thing I noticed during...
I used only my Iron for that. U7750 I replaced with hot air, but I removed the heat sink from the board and shielded the surrounding area before. Also pointed hot air towards the edge of the board...
I checked everything around U7750 before I decided to replace it. Everything seems fine as far...
Hello,
working on this 17" 820-2610 came to me not starting with C7771 issue (.3V). I replaced C7771, but still the same. I also replaced U7750, but still .3V. Does that point to the MCP itself, or is there anything else that could cause this and that I am missing here?
Just finished swapping the SMC from my "slow booting" board (from my other post) with the SMC from this board. Good news is both old boards survived that operation but so far no change. This one still wont wake up.
Just out of curiosity ill also reinstall macOS again on the other one to see if...
If i run all tests ASD sends the device to sleep and wakes it up using Internal signals without closing and opening the lid. And this test fails. I swap the SMCs between both boards I have and see if both issues swap with them or if this one may get fixed. As I am working on this just a few...
It detects lid closing (goes to sleep) and starts the fan when waking up by opening it again but as always thats it (Same behaviour as if i press a key to wake it). White light on SSD cable changes from pulsing to on and stays on if it does that. Seems like its hanging in power up sequence...
Hello,
i am trying to complete an old device for a person i know. This is the 2nd possible board i have in storage and could use for this old device but it has a strange issue. The device has 2 drives. 1 SSD and instead of an ODD a 2nd HDD. macOS is on both. If i install macOS (Snow Leopard) on...
Hello,
i am working on this old device for a person i know. The board works perfectly find except it mostly wont wake from sleep. I cant figure out what causes this but really rarely it did wake up until it got rebooted (observed this only 2 times). Lid did not need to be closed for this to...
Update: LVDS arrived and device is now working fine. Old one came off the board really easy - was not original. Ill flash the original Bios back on it and it should be fixed. Thank you very much - mark as solved please.
Yes and it did not work. But i had problems with my HDMI adapter recently (unfortunately i cant trust it 100%) and the pins in the LVDS look out of place and the cable won't go in easily. So i want to be sure that the connection is working. Screen dosen't do anything. No Light, no image. So i...
I never hat a bad U8900 but in this case it seems top have done the trick. Now it turns on and boots. Only problem is that i cant get an image on the screen. LVDS connector looks a little bend inside and i have seen this causing no image before if its not making good contact. Right noe i have no...
This 820-2849 Turns on for 5 seconds, off for 5 seconds and repeats this over and over again. If its on every Rail except PPVCORE_GPU is present. PPVCORE_GPU is 0.05V. U8900 seems to have all signals it needs and i get ~6 Ohms to GND on it. Is that to low? Is there anything i forgot to check or...
