This is a troubleshooting guide I used to only distribute to students who came for in-person tutoring. Sadly, no one seems to actually read this. :( I am posting it here in the hopes it can benefit others.

My Weller WHA900 has been demoted to "third desk" station
The 1610A3 will work in place of the 610A3B, 1610A2, and 1610A1. On really old devices, you will need 1608A1 which is NOT compatible with the four aforementioned ICs.
So to repair tristar/charger recognition issues, all you need to stock in terms of tristar ICs are 1610A3 and 1608A1.

that should be at 3.4v all the time. Bad U5010, bad keyboard, leaky C5710, corroded R5070, or bad SMC. green light isn't on because it thinks you are holding the power button down so it is booting in SMC bypass mode. Good luck hunting!
I fixed this once by replacing the entire CPU vcore power supply and it never came back. I tried it again on another with the same issue and it was not fixed, so I have no real solution
1) Is PP3V42_G3H present after replacing U7090?
2) If there is a short to ground on pin 2 of L7095, did you remove this short to ground by finding the affected components and removing/replacing them? Inject 3.42v into pin 2 of L7095 and see what heats up.
I don't understand what you are saying about CHGR_CSO_R_N, CHGR_CSO_P_N, but if there is a 0 ohm short to ground on F7140, time to remove F7140 and see which side the short circuit is on. If it is on pin 2, something is wrong with the system side, if it is on pin 1, something is wrong with the...
that's 800 ohms to ground. It should be way higher. That is going to be a crappy short to find, but I would start by injecting voltage and seeing what heats up. Can you remove F7040 and see what side the short is on?
These automatically turn on whenever you plug the charger in. SMC_ONOFF_L is the signal you short to ground to turn it on, but it will turn itself on when the charger is plugged in.
PPBUS_G3H is what is used to create PP3V3_S5 which is the voltage line the PCH uses for all of the 3.3v logic signals such as PM_SLP_S4_L. Fix PPBUS_G3H first!
