I managed to find an old genuine battery. Still doesn't boot from battery only. (well occasionally it will) Ive also tried a new keyboard. Perhaps Ive just got a fractured board. The only thing I haven't swapped out is the trackpad.

Just tried known good BIOS - no difference still 0v on L7210/20 How could a cpu problem explain why 0v at L7210/20 ? Surely lack of voltage here means no power to cpu.
