820 4924 no display on LCD, machine does have display via HDMI out. EDP_BKLT_EN, LCD_PSR_EN, & EDP_PANEL_PWR all missing. I do have PP3V3_S0_PCH_GPIO going into U8330.
I am using fluke 15b+, I have seen power cycling before, but it was on totally different power rails. I am not seeing any power cycling on this one, maybe it is a faster cycle that the multimeter will not pick up. I guess I need to go ahead and invest in a scope, it seems like 90% of these and...
No power with batt, have have literally spent over an hour searching under a microscope all over this board I can't find any knocked off components. I am also very confident that this board came out of the housing in a good way. P5VS4_EN is missing @ U8060. R8191 & R8192 are both solid. WTF am I...
Yes, the machine Chimed and the fan spun, before I pulled the board out. I get 5v on s5, 0v on all 5v rails after that. I do not see any power cycling, but I am using a fluke. I do not have a scope.
3.334v on 3v3_S5. Unfortunately I do not believe there's any other history on this machine. It was checked in by another shop, they said one that customer brought for no display, and quite honestly I could confidently say it doesn't even look like this boards ever been pulled out of the housing...
820 4924, checked in for no image. I am assuming the machine was fully booting at time of check-in. I would get fan spin and hear chime. I would get no internal or external display, even with the internal display unplugged. I remove the board to start troubleshooting, now for some ungodly...
D6905
pin 1 .013v
pin 2 and 3 start at around 1.5v, voltage drops to around 1v, cycles back to around 7.5 then starts rapidly dropping again.
q6910
pins 1-3 .015v
pins 4-6 all look very similar to pins 2 and 3 on D6905
John, yes, we are both on the same page there. Duke said that 112ohm was way to low, but that is a much higher resistance then 85k. Anywho, PP3V42 on my bad board is 112kohms, sorry that was my fault for the bad info. .302v diode mode measurement and 112kohm resistance measurement. This is not...
PP3V42 on my bad board, is extremely close to the same measurements taking off of a known good working board, and a donor board I have in my drawer. What gives....
Our diode measurements are not that far off my .302 vs your .330. Your getting 85kohms, maybe i fucked up, and misread kiloohm instead oh Ohms, in that case we would not be that far off 112k vs 85k, but you said 112ohm is very low, I do not under stand how that would be anywhere close to low...
Duke when I measure the resistance of PP3v42 on a working board I get 108 Ohm, are you sure 112 is not good? Diode mode measurement is also nearly identical compared to my board with issues.
On PP3v42 votage starts cycling from around .040v down to .010v
PPBUS voltage Cycles from around 1.5v to around 1v
I was getting 0v on ACIN ISL, R7010, R7011 are good, thought ISL may have been bad, I replaced, but no change
820 3332 no liquid damage, light on magsafe very intermittently while the machine is assembled. I get green light on magsafe for a split second then it goes off when the board is pulled. I get votage starts at around 2v then drops rapidly on pins 1 & 2 @ j6900.
3.325v on PPVRTC, I do not understand what you mean by 32KHz coming from u1900, also I do not have a scoop and can not see any power cycle coming from 5v_s4.
