the problem is the battery is completely shot with corrosion so i really do believe the battery is bad, but i just need the unit to turn on but for some reason it thinks the battery is connected and is dead. What can cause the smc to think the battery is connected when its not ? Any ideas on that ?

i injected 12 volts at pin 1 nothing happens cpu did not get warm it uses all current but nothing gets hot my max current setting is 5.1 amps on my power supply.

Hi Guys i'm working on a 820-3476 board getting a short to ground on pin 1 of F7140 tried to inject voltage to find the short but nothing. All i notice is that its only getting 4 volts to ppbus system any ideas on what the problem can be?

PP3V42 is Shorted to ground, so i injected voltage to pin 2 of 3v42 coil and only smc was getting warm not smoking hot just warm, i'm suspecting bad smc. What do you think?

Hey duke i tested it with a different battery, I get 11.07 v at PPBUS_G3H steady. When i try to turn it on the fans pulse, as soon as i release from jumping pin 5 on the keyboard connector it stops.
