    Have this unit that isn't powering up. Found the cause to be audio/ IO board on the left of the palmrest. The board and the cable were corroded. Once i replaced this, both usb-c ports are now going to 20v but never powers up. Trying using the T2 bridge restore but keep getting this message/error...

    Yep. Tried both revive and restore and both gave me the same message. It goes through the install process and just sits there for a while then gives the error. See picture.

    Tried DFU restore and just never comes on, causing the DFU to faulted out after a while being stuck in install state.

    Replaced U8490 but still not booting up. Then removed D7600 and PM_PGOOD_FET_P12V_S5_SSD was restored. So replaced U7600 and the board now has a new problem.     PPVCC_S0_CPU starts at around 1.09 and then regulates until it stops at 0.7 When i plug in my usb adapter, it flashes on for like a second.

    this is my first iMac repair, but yeah i do try to purchase donor boards when i'm able to get good deals on a batch. I've ordered a 2012 donor board as 2015 are being sold in the $100's. The 2012 does have the U8490 chip. I'll update you if this fixes the issue once i get the board.

    That is vin power for U7600 pin 17. This is the same power signal PP12V_S5_SSD coming from Q8490.
