A1466 820-3437-B fanspin loops 3 times before steadily turns on [SOLVED]

A good 820-3437 should cycle ON OFF for I think 2 or 3 times before turning on. Pretty sure this is normal.

    820-3437 No Image, No Chime.

I dont test with USB mouse, I test with USB drive that contains a MacOS Yosemite Install. Im going to order an SMC stencil and reball. Will report back when done. EDIT: I know if there is USB activity because when the drive is being searched or accessed it will repeatedly flash a LED light...

    820-3437 No Image, No Chime.

USB Activity is present, no external video either. Seems like a bad BIOS (ME Region possibly). However there seems to be some small blue crap near the SMC, could have corrosion inside of it. Should I replace BIOS chip with new ME Region and EFI from a donor board, then if that does not work...

    820-3437 No Image, No Chime.

U6100 and its surroundings look good, seems to have some liquid damage, corrosion around some traces but nothing major. I have cleaned up most traces that look bad but board still does not completely turn on. All power rails are there, board starts out at 350 Mah, then goes to about 600 Mah or...

    820-00165 Strange Issue, help!

Sorry for this really late reply, I have solved the problem. For future reference or for anyone who has this problem, it was R6130, it was measuring incorrectly in resistance. I replaced it and board fully powers on now.

    820-00165 Strange Issue, help!

Removed resistor, still 0V, no short to ground on U7820 either, all power inputs on that chip are present and correct.

    820-00165 Strange Issue, help!

Yep, sorry, Incorrect working. The board now pulls 150Mah, the new problem is U7820 is not outputting the PGOOD signal. Yes that means no ALL_SYS_PWRGD. This board does not boot or power on, before the 5V rail was down, no fan spin, now that it is fixed we do get a fan spin. WIll remove...

    820-00165 Strange Issue, help!

820-00165 The Logic Board does not turn on, when attached to my power supply it will take 30Mah, then quickly 19Mah, then to about 160 for a split second, then back to 30. I have narrowed down the problem to U8080, and the PP5V_S4R3 rail. It seems like there is a short to ground, however I have...

    SSD Issue, Apple SSD

Hello, I have a MZ-JPU128T/A02 SSD, that is not working properly, there is water damage on this resistor (and capacitor) and when measuring resistance of it, it turns out to 26 OHMs, it also has continuity in Diode mode, I don?t think these are correct values, I need someone to confirm the...

820-00165 SMC Resets when physically touching U5110, and U7090, and its surroundings.

I may be mentally handicapped... You can reset this on a working board by using your finger  But still, no image, and the fan does spin to the max. I replaced C7094, U5110, and U7090, so we know for sure thats good.

820-00165 SMC Resets when physically touching U5110, and U7090, and its surroundings.

Yes I get a stable 3.4V AVREF_SMC reads at 3.2V which is the same for me on a working board. I will change C7094. No USB activity at all. I have already removed J6100 due to corrosion, and U6100 looks fine.

820-00165 SMC Resets when physically touching U5110, and U7090, and its surroundings.

When I touch, with my finger, U5110, or U7090, the SMC will reset Its actually seems like the SMC turns on, then off, then on again. This board had a history of liquid damage, there seems to be no damage around U5110, and its surroundings, however on U7090, the chip itself seems fine, but...

    820-00165 No backlight, Im stumped.

On a working board it was 14V on LED Return. Replaced LP8550, works now. Thanks!

    820-00165 No backlight, Im stumped.

It was the fuse! You were right! It was trolling me, I normally measure if fuses are good or bad with resistance, however when i checked continuity through it, no beep, so thank you! However another thing is wrong, I get backlight however on only half of the screen, tested on 2 good screens and...

    820-00165 No backlight, Im stumped.

F7700 turns to 8V (G3H and PPVIN_S0SW_LCDBKLTFET) when screen is unplugged. Its a changed fuse as well, and is not blown. D7701 diode mode measures (red probe at ground) measures 0.520V (without screen plugged in and with screen plugged in)

    820-00165 No backlight, Im stumped.

Im getting a short every time I plug in the screen, my first suspect was Q7707, however I have already replaced it and everything measures correctly. EDP_BKLT_EN is 3.2V, same with BKLT_PLT_RST, its at 3.2V as well. When I plug in the screen LCDBKLT_EN_L gets 0V, and Q7706 gets shorted...

    820-00165 sms_int_l (r5193)

Board is heavily liquid damaged, im working on replacing all that has corrosion and is not working, however when diagnosing R5193 came right off and the pads are gone, so no real way of knowing if thats the exact problem. I will report back when all is fixed.

    820-00165 sms_int_l (r5193)

R5193 is gone, very corroded and the pads are gone, is this an important resistor or function?

820-3437 No Backlight / Strange Issue

Both are present and that problem is now fixed, no more short on Q7706. I get about 3V on Pin 3, the rest are 8V. I get image but still no backlight. BKL_EN is 2.7V, however BKL_PWM is 1.4V, which im confused why it is still that voltage because I have done 3 PRAM resets. EDP_BKLT_PWM is also...
