yes, that was for me the intresting part as well. now i checked again and yes there is no 5V_S0, but I replaced already U7600 inbetween so I measured bad S4 or bad S5 and have now a bad U7600. I am gonna replace it again and will post the measurements after that.

I pulled of the GPU Working good. 1) Is it possible to enable still the possible of brightness control? 2) is it without GPU still neefull to protect with password an accidentical PRAM reset?

was no external screen, after flashing new bios i had external screen wich ttol to use for such modification in bios?

ok, so now external is working, password is removed and i get starting up after a while th good old white screen of death, lets look now after gpu replace

so, by replacing R8911 the gpu is already to see in the preferences, found a clear me bios but it shows up a lock, going to remove the password now

no, in this moment i dont have one. but i have another A1706 same mainboard itis repaired already. Now I tryed the charger wich I posted a picture with this good A1706 that is charging well. It consumes about 2,7A the A1706 with the bad battery consumes maximum during booting 1,07A later less.

is it needful by replacing a new topcase with battery to activate something that the battery is charging ?
