Did you change LIO board/flex? What is PPBUS_G3H voltage without battery and LIO flex connected?

Can you complete revive in DFU? If yes, data can be also recovered in DFU mode. Be aware, restore erases SSD!

Check J4801's power lines in diode mode, w/ and w/o trackpad connected. The connector, or flex may be bad and causes short when inserted.

What is SYS_DETECT_L voltage, with battery connected? Any error pops up starting in diagnostic mode?

I don't think. Check SMC I/V sensors; start with SMC_DCIN/PBUS_VSENSE and SMC_DCIN/BMON_ISENSE.

What s diode mode and voltage at SCL/SDA lines of battery bus?

Did you test the board alone, disconnecting anything else?

If is pure short, try voltage injection...
