Sorry for the long delay on replying. Diode mode to ground on ppbus_g3h is 0.45v. Original Symptom was liquid dmg. Nothing much tho.

Good evening, This 820-00239 came ultrasoniced by another shop. On ampmeter it showed 5v 0a. Replaced ISL now it opens up the 20v but ppbus_g3h is stuck at 1v. pp3v3_g3h : 3.41v no shorts on any line. Any suggestions?

Good evening people, I have received not 1 but 2 820-00045 with the same issue but not with the same problem. One of them power cycles, and the other one does nothing. Pp5v_s5 goes up and down on the one that cycles, and on the other one is 0v. no shorts on any rail. Any suggestions?

Sometimes it chimes once and it stays in white screen with no image and some times it chimes continuously. I have tried another cpu and another bios but still no change. Any ideas?

i had to return this machine to the customer so i didn't have time to repair it, you can close this

in the end it just needed a fresh install for the lagging and a new fingerprint flex button and it works fine, thank you, you can mark thsi as solved.

I got an update, replaced the charging/audio dock thing and the machine works perfectly. It had some corroded stuff on it, thought it was better to just replace it. So thank you so very much for the help. You can mark this as solved. Hopefully it will help others.

I have tried with another PSU, replaced isl and bios but it wont start, only the first led lights up, any ideas?

ok, any ideas about the lagging, is it software related or maybe because it doen't have the battery, but it only lags on the internal software

i cleaned it thoroughly, but it didn't have any corrosion, and neither does the button itself

Hello, after liquid damage, its cleaned and everything is working except the fingerprint-power button. Also the battery is bloated so i have not connected it. And finally with external hdd its working fine. On the internal software its lagging extremely, this may be a software issue i have not...

Well, this is awkward. I tested the machine with keyboard and trackpad connected, with no IO cable and still got nothing. Nothing on boot menu and nothing on password screen. With no IO cable and with TP/KB connected on pin 3 of u4810 i get 0.493 again.

SMC_LID with TP disconnected still at the same voltage. With IO Flex disconnected 3.3 steady.

Measurements were done with the board extracted from the case due to the position of u4810, but with TP and TP cable connected (no keyboard). i let it boot so the measurements were done in osx. Or at least at the point that it asks for a password. I ll measure smc_lid with no tp cable connected.

Ok, the boot menu is not accessible by holding alt on power on so i got no keyboard on osx or before that. SMC_LID on J4800 goes from 2.57v to 2.65. Measurements on u4810: Trackpad Connected : Trackpad not connected: 1. 3.34...

What i also noticed is that, now (after removing the trackpad so that i could take a close look) it does turn on, but i got no keyboard and trackpad.. Checked R4830 and it is indeed 0?. Is it that the trackpad is totally doomed now?
