    820-00298 short on PP3V3_S5

Came in with a short on PP3V3_S5.. I injected 1 volt and PCH was boiling hot.. I measured caps behind the PCH like PP1V0_SUS, PP1V8_S0 and PP1V_SUS_PCH was shorted to ground.. I put a new (brought from AliExpress) PCH chip on it and readings all returned to normal but still the board taking...

Forcing is by wiring SOC_FORCE_DFU to SOC_FORCE_DFU_DBG based on the test pads on board is that correct or have I gotten it wrong? If yes then it won't go DFU either

I have returned the A2338 CD3217 with ROM chip.. still same thing 5V and CC line 1.6v went back.. I have measured PP5V_S2SW_USBC23 in diode mode and it was very low around 0.108.. I measured both coils and they were still low up until I started to measure PPVIN_5VUSBC23_ISNS my multimeter got...

[SOLVED] 820-02098 M1 Pro 14" PPBUS partial short

Hi, board came with no signs of life whatsoever, taking only 5V.. measured PPBUS and it was partially shorted (I kinda know this is not an easy one when it's a partial short) around 9 ohms in resistance and 0.012 in diode mode. Injected 2 volts since 1v was not enough and my initial suspicion...

Came in with a little teeny tiny speck of dust on U9300 and R9310 resistor above it. Removed the chip, cleaned it up and install new resistors and few caps around it.. still 5V.. I took few measurements PPDCIN 5V (diode mode good according to OBD) PPBUS 12.27V (diode mode good according to OBD)...
