No PRAM chime, no output device detected, no corrosion. Theres a dent around the audio jack but thats probably a symptom of a frustrated consumer unlikely the cause.
I don't have the BoardView for 820-00138 but 820-3662 is close so thats what I'm going by.

Any idea...
I always put the heatsink back on logic boards before testing a computer, am I wasting my time?
Is it generally safe to boot without the heatsink mounted?
Fairly clean board no visible liquid damage or corrosion, would crash under certain loads.
Running OS ASD162 it crash's (shuts down) the moment it gets to Sensor Group (test #5) every time.
Running EFI ASD162 would show IB0R and IPBR failures and finish the tests without crashing.
I replaced...
Computer came in with no power or charge light, I replaced a bunch of corroded components around L9701 which brought it back to life, seems to run okay but it fails about half the memory tests in ASD. Anything I can do about this?
No visible liquid damage or corrosion, can run fine at times and other times seems to shut down under certain loads. But not really shut down, the backlight, keyboard light and USB all stay on with no picture, sometimes resetting it will still go back to this no picture state.
Running ASD with a...
It looks like the board has been previously ultrasonic'ed so Im trying to figure out where the corrosion was, I don't have ASD162 but have attached the Istat Sensor readings, nothing looks too out of place but you can see the fan is running at over 6K. Computer seems to run a little slow at...
no corrosion, I took off the shielding behind the ports and the only clue is the plastic hole-through-post seems to be burnt (see pic) the HV Power MUX's look clean. No board views but Im pretty sure I found PP3V3RHV_S4_TBTAPWR : 3.3V
Looking into the ports with microscope they appear fine but...
No liquid damage or corrosion, crashes when trying to install OSX, random crashes with preloaded SSD.

Diode was going to .0L and BKL_ISEN6 doesn't go back further then U9701, finally accepted the fact it must be the trace in between. Ran a jumper wire from Pin-21 U9701 to R9722 and it works perfectly.
Many Thanks.
No visible liquid or corrosion damage, very clean. Only thing amiss was the badly cracked L7710 Inductor which I replaced.
charger lights up green to yellow, responds to SMC reset.

I wasn't sure if LED_RETURN_6 was high or all the others were low, but I suppose its more logical its just LED_RETURN_6 thats the issue.
the BKL_ISEN6 pad was in good shape and the ball looks good, the only pad on the driver that looked iffy was the center TP_BKL_FAULT Is it possible that could...
LCD as pictured with alternating dim LED's on left half of screen.
Backlight driver looked suspect so I replaced it, there was some corrosion on the LVDS connector so I replaced that too.
No change in the issue, I tried connecting a different LCD and it persists so it's not the LCD or cable...
