ok so yes the trace is bad , ive run a wire from pin 1 r7751 to pin 2 r7753 then up to pin 2 c8358 and test point next to it, then had to go across to pin 4 of screen connector now at each point i get the same reading of 0.454 but still no boosting on the backlight, done pram reset just incase

i2c_bklt_sda 1.821 , i2c_bklt_scl 0.575

diode readings are with the screen connected

checked display assy with another board and alls fine

0.527 i2c_bklt_scl , 0.549 i2c_bklt_sda

yes got 5v there

Hi ive got an 820-4924 with no backlight, board has no liquid damge, 5v on screen enable and have pic , 12v on backlight so its not boosting, its 100% working screen, at u7700 pins 17 and 18 i get 5v,, r7732 & r7731 feedback resistors measure fine also checked connection to the lcd connector and...

the only history i got was customer changed the screen because it was going "fuzzy" and ended up with no display, found they had knocked off L9000 and thought happy days picture back and then started kernal panic :-(

yes tried memory and even tried loading os on new drive but no joy

Hi , ive got an 820-2850 board that kernal panics after booting to os within 10 seconds , ive changed c9650 still the same, no signs of liquid damage and wont run ASD , is there anything else i can check ?

Hi Duke on pin 1 (RTC_CLK32K_XTALIN) i get 1.6v and on pin 2 (RTC_CLK32K_XTALOUT) i get 1.75v

hi , eventually got a good battery and error 255 has gone but error 28 mux switching failed- didnt switch error is still there , would this be down to the graphics chip about to fail ???
