Hi Duke finally got asd 3s144, ran it in efi mode 6 times with no errors reported so then ran in os mode and it did come up with error 28 mux switching failed- didnt switch error and also error 255 unkown result - code 0xff , im guessing could that mean the graphics chip is on the way out ??

Hi Duke yes heatsink conducting heat just fine , all works 100% without trackpad connected , guess it could be just the trackpad causing the issue but it does seem to work, will order a replacement to check, thanks for the heads up on 4924 board

Hi , ive got an 820-3662 with a keyboard error, the bottom row of letters do not work , i have tried two other keyboards and same result, the laptop did have a liquid spill, keyboard connector looks ok, any hints as to where to start looking ??????

thats what i thought , yes both 2013/14 , voltage a l8300 is 5.1v and we do get backlight , thats why i wondered if it could just be screen cable connector even though it looks clean
