    820-4924-A no Display - missing PP5V_S0_LCD

Thank you again for your reply :-) I dont't get PP5VR3V3_SW_LCD in the first few seconds - just checked it with an oscilloscope. I get the 5V suplly on USB but no activity. And no external display. So the problem is not the missing lcd rail - it's another S0 that holds off the board from...

    RAM replace A1369

Thank you for your reply. Maybe some context is needed: When I received the MacBook it failed to start (3x beeping) so I decided to reflow the RAM chips (because it also crashed on Memory Test). After reflowing it started but threw kernel panic after some minutes. So I decided to remove the...

    820-00840-A short to ground

I did retry the whole thing with 0.9V (resultuing in 4,98A with amp limit at max). Same results regarding to the temperature evolution as in my post#9. Already ordered a new PSU with higher amp limits :)

    820-00840-A short to ground

How would the CPU behave if there are just some faulty solder-balls on the BGA-Chip, shorting the surrounding pins to ground. Would the CPU even get hot in this case?

    820-00840-A short to ground

I just injected 0.8V (>3A) on the pin 2 of L7960 - but nothing was really heating up... I'm confused. The CPU seemed to get slightly warm after some minutes but not hot...
