    2020 M1 MacBook Air 820-02016. No image.

I get usb activity. Apple configurator recognizes device as "booted" when I connect to A1706. When I connect display, display shows that device is connected with 4K/60hz output, but no image. I am unsure how to set M1 into target disk mode if booting into recovery is required in order to "share...

    2020 M1 MacBook Air 820-02016. No image.

I have also attempted to "revive" the device using Apple Configurator 2, and end up with this screen. I tried on two different Macs and it gave me the same error:

    2020 M1 MacBook Air 820-02016. No image.

I have a 2020 M1 MacBook Air here that my client claims water was spilled on. There is no image on the display, but the backlight is on. There are no signs of liquid damage on the display or connector. I tried another known working screen and ended up with the same result. I proceeded to remove...

    820-00165 PM_SLP_S4 and S5 missing

Replaced U8020. Board fired right up. Looks like U8130 needs more than 2.97V. Thanks!

    820-00165 PM_SLP_S4 and S5 missing

I apologize. I was trying to say that 3V3_SUS line, and U8020 was working, and stable. The board, however...was not powering up. No pulse at PM_SLP_S4_L while triggering SMC ONOFF. PM_RSMRST_L is 0V. I checked U8130 and PP3V3_SUS is getting 2.97V, 3V3_S5 is getting 3.3V. R8133 is good

    820-00165 PM_SLP_S4 and S5 missing

I put the board in the ultrasonic cleaner after my "cleanup" attempts were not successful. I figured there may be something hidden. There are a couple of corroded test points, one being PCH_I1C1_SDA, but it seems to be still connected through the board. I have scoured the board for broken...

    820-00165 PM_SLP_S4 and S5 missing

Hello Liquid damaged board, A1466, 2015. There was a bit of corrosion around PP3V3_SUS chip (U8020) but I cleaned up the area and its working. I tossed it in the ultrasonic to rule out any hidden corrosion. Charger is taking 29mA and not turning on. PP3V42_G3H=3.42V PPBUS_G3H= 8.56V...

820-00239 (A1706) No Keyboard or Trackpad

Measured resistors around U5225 and R5320 was out of spec so I replaced it. No change. I then found 136ohms of resistance to ground on SMC_LID. Found 2 ohm short to ground on Q4400 so I replaced it along with R4491 and C4490. That did the trick. Trackpad now working. Thanks a bunch.

Installed brand new trackpad cable after cleaning both connectors. No dice. Time to pull the board I guess.

    820-00850

Hi there I removed the trackpad assembly/cable on an 820-00850 (2018) to install new battery in this unit. Cable is not damaged in any way, nor the trackpad. after reassembly, there is no click and no cursor. Keyboard is working fine. I tried another trackpad with no success. What might the...

820-00239 (A1706) No Keyboard or Trackpad

There is no change to SMC_LID when trackpad is connected/disconnected. Hall sensor left and right are both 3.42V with the lid open. When I tested R5171 the measurements were all over the place, so I replaced the resistor..but still got the same readings.

820-00239 (A1706) No Keyboard or Trackpad

Tested all TPAD_SPI resistors, all within spec. SMC_LID is 0.04V. Is supposed to be that low?

820-00239 (A1706) No Keyboard or Trackpad

Hi there. I just replaced the display on an A1706 (2016 13" Touchbar) and after installation, the machine would not boot up fully (20V @ 200-400mA, no image, no chime) Inspection using thermal camera indicated U7600 was getting hot. I proceeded to remove the board and test. I connected power and...

820-01987. solid 20V on charger, boot looping (no image, no chime)

The client decided against board repair when I explained it may take some time to diagnose the issue. I reassembled and handed it back over. They will be sending it to Apple to replace the logic board.

820-01987. solid 20V on charger, boot looping (no image, no chime)

Client was using their 2020 13" MacBook Pro and it gave a low battery warning, after plugging in the charger for one minute, there was a small "zap" sound emanating from the speakers, then the machine just shut off and never turned back on. Heres what the charger is doing: Google drive video I...

    820-00138 no image

I have an 820-00138 that had corrosion around the display connector area, and had no image. After a quick clean with alcohol and a toothbrush, I was able to get an image, but the area needed to be touched up to be reliable, and replacement of the LVDS connector and display cable was also needed...
