820-01987. solid 20V on charger, boot looping (no image, no chime)

Client was using their 2020 13" MacBook Pro and it gave a low battery warning, after plugging in the charger for one minute, there was a small "zap" sound emanating from the speakers, then the machine just shut off and never turned back on. Heres what the charger is doing:

I have removed the board from the case and its pristine, not even any dust. The PMIC is covered by a giant metal shield on this board which is pretty intimidating. Apple is trying to make repairs more difficult

When the unit first came in my shop I attempted to put it into DFU mode to restore the firmware but it would not recognize the keys being held down and would not enter DFU.
 
The client decided against board repair when I explained it may take some time to diagnose the issue. I reassembled and handed it back over. They will be sending it to Apple to replace the logic board.
