SMMRepair you were right ( and yes, it's showing up, so looks like it just wants the update )

SSD was used on a clean-install on a 00165 with HS, so that makes some sense. Any way up updating the 3437 to have APFS support? I've got a HS USB installer stick... I should answer my own question and try it.
I did ask a few weeks ago about a SSD from a system that -was- from a 3437 and...
I just noticed something this evening, A SSD ( SanDisk 655-1837c Sd6pq4m-128g-1021 128gb ) works in my A1466 820-00165 and A1502, but doesn't show up as a device on my A1466 820-3437 boards (either of the two working ones I have).
Is there an electrical/signalling difference of the SSD...
PLT_RESET_L is also present (3V3), starting to run out of ideas on this one. Might have to put it aside for another day ( tested the chassis with another board, all okay ).
820-00165 supposedly replaced with a new board a couple of weeks ago. Clear signs board has seen liquid damage and was ultrasonic'd and put back in to service as it probably booted "then".
Now the unit will only green/orange light & fan spin. The fan spin runs for about 10 seconds, then stops...
For those of you who were unfortunate enough to witness Louis test the new software, you can now obtain a copy from the FlexBV downloads ( http://pldaniels.com/flexbv/downloads.php ) too.
Asymptotically approaching a new stable release set. All current versions are available at http://pldaniels.com/flexbv/downloads.php
Been a number of UI changes to try make things look cleaner among the menus/information-pane, but overall I'm just trying to smooth off any issues that might...
I don't have a copy of the MRI (any of them). Anyone have a pointer? I'm still a bit perplexed about the AHT behaviour though, while I know it's generally not regarded as worth the time running, it still does concern me that there's something causing that odd behaviour.
Board had liquid damage previously and has subsequently been repaired, boots macOS and "seems fine", though the one sticking point for me, and one I'd like to get an opinion on, is that the built-in AHT (internet loaded one) never finishes, instead over the course of a few hours the progress bar...
Been another busy week. Trying to get the system to a "stable" point that'll keep it as a good starting point for at least another 6 months. Something that can tolerate a Rossmann install without resulting in lots of shouting (at me).

What boardview program are you using? OpenBoardView and FlexBV should bring up all the other points on the board that share the same network, including parts.
I suspect with R1669, what you're finding is that the other part on the board one side is connected to is the CPU on the directly other...
I had to scratch the itch --- because too many times I had to find a replacement part for something I didn't have a donor for and I was real sick of manually searching.
I see you've done the purchase and signed up, thanks for that.
Just download the above package, unpack, and run flexbv.exe...
Latest update, includes reworked PDF searching, hopefully smoother now, but also contains the new "Part Find" feature. This feature will search a folder of PDFs for your part parameters, and you can use as little as 1 or up to 3 fields.
When you click on one of the "HIT" PDFs it will be loaded...
