It looks like there is no S3 S5 voltage on the board ...
PP3V3_S5 = 0V
PPVPCORE_S5 = 0V
PP1V8_S5 = 0V
PP1V_S3 = 0V
PP1V2_S3 = 0V
On J6600 connector/flex and Touch ID i can't find any signs of liquid
I'm working on a 820-01598-A which came with liquid damage - primary as a data recovery job.
I cleaned the liquid damaged areas. The logicboard pulses 63-64mA.
C6404 Pin2 is completely gone so i took the cap away - i think it's not necessary for data recovery?
The board shows no reaction. Here...
replaced U4802 again (from Donor 820-00426 U8170)
whatever i measured before when i told you that SMC_LID_RIGHT is low when lid is closed ??!!!
Now i have 1,409V as low-signal (measured at R4801 Pin2) and 1.518V as high-signal.
I can't find the reason for SMC_LID_RIGHT not going low. Could it...
IPD_LID_OPEN is always high :-(
I changed the U4802 two times from Donor. Maybe they was both bad? Or could there be another problem with IPD_LID_OPEN?
Yes, when lid is closed SMC_LID_RIGHT is low (measured at Pin1 of R4805)
when it's opened SMC_LID_RIGHT is 1,801V.
I also checked SMC_LID_LEFT (measured at Pin1 of R4804)
same values
I found it - it's in the speaker case - I broke one to see.
I changed the audio board, the speaker/hall-sensor and the flex to the MLB two times with known good parts.
I put it in DFU mode and used the repair option
after finish repair (4/4 steps) apple configurator 2 lost every view seconds the connection.
I could initiate an restart over the menu of the configurator.
now he shows me a lock symbol and a message "apple control is not ready for operation. click...
Update - I installed the board for test:
mic is working now - think it was disabled because IPD_LID_OPEN was low
closing the lid have now no effect - don't go in sleep mode.
I think the customer can live with this and switch off over the menu before closing.
But could it be an idea to cut the...
with 10k i get 1.173V
i would try to go more down with R4801
which value gives a safe high signal?
Arround U4802 is definitiv no corrosion.
R4805 is still from the board - so J6100 can not affect - is this right?
I'm working on a 820-01521-A. The Board is out of the machine.
The customer said that the SSD is not found. Also booting with an external drive is not possible.
When the machine came to us, she did not start at all.
I can not see fluid damage or other marks of damage.
It boots normal to the...
removed R4805 - U4802 Pin1 = 0,9V
new R4801 = 0,9V
change U4802 = 0,9V
What do you think? Is it an T2-Problem? What can i do next?
Or would it be an idea, making a bridge from U4802 Pin2 (LID_OPEN_LEFT) to Pin1 (LID_OPEN_RIGHT)?
