[SOLVED] 820-3662 Vcore Present @1.72V No Chime

Do you have a known good BIOS for me to test? Maybe the one I have here is bad... Will check the resistors... Could not find any corrosion and already tried heating CPU, will try also the PCH.

[SOLVED] 820-3662 Vcore Present @1.72V No Chime

Hello. Got this board here with VCORE stuck at 1.72V and not chiming. I thought it might be BIOS related so I flashed a new clean file, but still no luck, same results. I'm inspecting the board to see if I can find any obvious hints like corrosion or etc. Board has a few little green stuff but...

Yes, I thought it might be some charged capacitor or something like that. The board is sitting on the bench since yesterday unplugged and is still shorted.

    820-00840 20V 0 Amps

Actually, when my bench PSU cannot supply sufficient current its display show 5.5amps being pulled with a voltage drop. For example, if I set it to 5V 5A and there's a short on the board, the amp meter from the PSU says 5.5A which is the maximum it can supply but the voltage indicator drops to...

Yes, PSU current set to maximum, same cables I always use for repairs, which work 100%. My PSU can supply up to 5 amps.

Diode mode: SSD_PWR_EN_CONN_L - 0.001 PP1V8_S5G - 0.001 PP1V_S5G_REG - 0.000 FULL short on all. Tried injecting voltage on this rails... Nome of them pull more than 1 amp @1V

Hello. Got this machine here with no power. Costumer says he tried to upgrade the SSD at home and after that the machine stopped working. He says he disconnected power from battery before putting on the new SSD. I tested the SSD on another machine and it works fine, so no shorted SSD. Removed...

Hello. Got this board here, which I'm suspecting it may have a BGA because the top case is bent in the middle. Anyway. Board enters S0, fans spin, but no video. I have VCORE present on L7221 and L7211 on 1.05V, meaning there's no post. I tried a new BIOS that I found on the forum and same thing...

I'm following this power sequence diagram: https://logi.wiki/index.php/CD3217_and_T2_Power_on_Sequence I have all voltages up to PCH_RTC_RESET_L. From P5VG3S_EN forward I have nothing.

Yes, 2 different original chargers, one 96W, another 61W, 2 original Apple cables, one USB-C USB-C another Thunderbolt 3 Thunderbolt 3. All give same results. Also, machine enters DFU state, but does not complete restore. T2 gets a little warm.
