820-4924-A No Green Light/Charge With Original Charger

So i've got an 820-4924-A which won't charge when using original charger. The light won't come on the charger there is no voltage at J7000 and it's not charging. I've tried a different charging socket (known good in another macbook) which also doesn't work. If I use a chinese charger the green...

    820-00165 Wont start

    PM_DSW_PWRGD - 0.858v PM_SLP_SUS_L - 0v PM_BATLOW_L - 3.3v PM_RSMRST_L - 0v PCH_DSWVRMEN - 0v PM_PWRBTN_L - 3.48v I did have PP3v3_SUS yesterday but today it is 0v Looks like dead CPU - PPVRTC_G3H is shorted and when I inject power the only thing heating up is the CPU. I hate these 820-00165...

    820-00165 Wont start

so to cut a long story short got an 820-00165 in today from a Macbook Air A1466. Was initally giving no green light on the charger which I traced back to a short on PP3V42_G3H after injecting power onto PP3V42_G3H it wasn't taking much power for anything to get hot. I pulled off U7090 - short...

    820-00840-A trackpad not working

So to cut a long story short one of my colleagues went to change the keyboard on an A1708 macbook, ripped the touchpad cable in the process. We have replaced the touchpad cable but the touchpad is still not functioning. So we got another touchpad cable - same. We have then replaced the touchpad...

820-3478 iMac 27" Thunderbolt ports not working

Think you are correct as with further visual inspection U2800 looks discoloured like it has a burn mark on it. It's got like a brown spot on it. Is there a source for replacement U2800 or it's a case of pulling one of a donor board only?

820-3478 iMac 27" Thunderbolt ports not working

Got an 820-3478 board in off an iMac 27" 2013 today but neither of the thunderbolt ports will work. If I connect a monitor to either of them monitor is showing connected no signal but there are no mirroring options coming up. Is this likely to be burned U3210 and U3310?

820-00165A Liquid Damaged Doesn't start with i/o board plugged in

Thats a good question - i'm not 100% sure it is original but it certainly looks it - it's an 85W one. Found out why it wasn't starting eventually - it was R5501 not connected on PPBUS_G3H side. Now i've got another issue that the board appears to start but after I shut it down and leave it for...

820-00165A Liquid Damaged Doesn't start with i/o board plugged in

Interesting you should say that - for the past couple years i've never found an 820-00165-A which will start without the battery when the left i/o board is attached - they will start when the i/o board is not connected usually just like this one! J9500 is clean - there was 0 liquid damage on...

820-00165A Liquid Damaged Doesn't start with i/o board plugged in

Got a Macbook Air A1466 liquid damage job in today 820-00165A board. Have cleaned it up and fixed the following issues: 1) C7136 completely exploded and burned PPDCIN_G3H_CHGR to ground inside the board - have done some digging around where C7136 was and cleared this short 2) Backlight feedback...

    820-4924A Doesn't boot

ok the bios you attached is working and will boot to el capitan - doesn't detect my catalina drive though - presumably it is too old and doesnt have APFS support. I've attached the old bios if you could work some magic on it and fix the ME region! 820-4924 Old BIOS

    820-4924A Doesn't boot

I've received a strange Macbook in today. A1502 2015 Model 820-4924A board. It powers up normally but it won't boot properly. With the customers OS X install which is filevault protected after entering the password we get the apple logo then the loading bar appears and it goes all the way to the...

    820-4924-a No Power

Coils removed - short still there, dead CPU it seems shame. Macbook's have to be the first laptops i've worked on where a dodgy USB device can kill the processor - very good circuit design there!

    820-4924-a No Power

u1950: pin 5 - 3.4v pin 6 - 3.4v pin 7 - 3.4v Is it possible dead U7200? I see it gets power from PP5V_S0 which i'm sure has been backfed from the hard drive customer plugged in? Edit - I think dead CPU actually VCORE is reading 1ohm to Ground

    820-4924-a No Power

No C1301 on this board - if you mean C1001 - getting a solid 0v from there. PLT_RESET_L is staying low 0v. USB Mouse lights up. Also appear to be getting some heat from Q7180 and L7130 - they are not excessively hot but warmer than the rest of board.
