no idea. my client want to have a 1TB ssd in original place and extendet 1TB in DVD place. I replaced now the 1TB in original place with a 2TB and build in the dvd player back. problem for client solved but that was strange. thanks for help.

back again with bad news i assembled today all together, came the client, machine starting up and shut down or freez. after 3-4 times tryed i have now the same problem like in the beginning, fan spins, cpu vcore is good, it pulls only until 0.5A if good it should until 0.6 I think. seems like...

i have a a1286 2011, the mainboard is modified with the Tiresias from Harald the osx is a catalina patched from dosdude the 2. ssd is a 1TB, external via usb no problem, can clean it or copie files on it. if is in the dvd place i can "see" in disk utilities or in finder the SSD, but it is not...

yes man that worked. ! thanks a lot. the problem was definitly the bios. but with your bios i had the same result. it was a little hard to me to solder the bios chip good with the board. so when i had the same result with your now known good bios i tryed some times to solder that good and now...

ok. so i soldered now 2 cables on C8553 and C8554 build in the board and signals are there scl has a clock and sda has data signals

i disconnected the display and checked pin 26 and 24 on the flex cable both 5.01V but on scope no communication to see may be because display is not connected

checked now PPVIN_S0SW_LCDBKLT_R is 12.93V, is ok in my opinion LCDBKLT_EN_L is as well 12.93V should be zero i think? ah ok, just read your post 2informaticos so I checked R8450 and R8451 both 0 Ohm and R8452 and R8453 both 1.8Ohm

so, if PPVOUT_S0_LCD_BKLT is 0V then 8400 is not switching on or PPVOUT_S0_LCD_BKLT is short to GND in diode mode PPVOUT_S0_LCD_BKLT to GND is .804 F8400 is ok maybe LCDBKLT_EN_L is not working, how it is switching from U8400 SD-Pin? should be Low if turned on isnt it?
