    820-2567, chime no image

No USB activity. Light on pen drive is solid. I should pull the board to check the other side. I think someone else has been inside of it cause the CPU fan is unplugged.

    820-3662 No Camera

So I dug out the melted inductor, soldered wires to a new one next to the missing pads and solder masked it to the board we now have a working camera. This one is solved. Thanks!

    820-3662 No Camera

I assume you were wanting to see if the camera itself cause L4010 to melt.

    820-00840 New battery at 0%

I pulled the little ribbon cable and tested the SCL and SDA pins and the cable doesn't have continuity from one end to the other on the SDA Pin. So I'm submitting to the theory that since I am getting proper charging current, the board is trying to talk to the battery but since the SDA pin in...

    820-00840 New battery at 0%

So I have tonight an 820-00840 that the customer replaced the battery themselves and they say now it doesn't charge. When I plug it into my USB-C meter it is pulling 700mA @ 19.7V which seems to me like it is charging but the percentage stays at zero.

    820-2533 Strange power issue.

After I let it sit for a few minutes I plugged in the MS and hit the power button. The fan jerked a little then started to spin but after the chime it shut back off. I'm starting to think it is possessed.... No signs of liquid damage either unfortunately.

    820-2533 Strange power issue.

Oh and an important second teaser, when it shuts off in the chassis I cannot get it to turn back on. Not even with using "power on pads". But on the bench I can shut it off, turn it right back on over and over so I am thinking it has something to do with the chassis, or TPAD because although I...

    820-2533 Strange power issue.

At the moment I am working on an 820-2533 that has a strange power issue. On the the bench I am able to power the board and leave it running for a good while, but when I put it in the chassis I can get it to turn on, log in and look around for about 30 second before it just turns off, like as if...

820-00138 Customer used knock off charger

The "crack" I heard was the new U7100 blowing because I didn't realize at the time R7121/22 were blown as well. I put another U7100 on and the board started working but when I checked pins 27 & 28 I founf 17.7K so I must have blown the new resistors when I replaced them after the new U7100 blew...

820-00138 Customer used knock off charger

Yeah, board is up and running, battery charged up, It is working! I think the problem was when I started, U7100 was bad as well as resistors. I only changed U7100 to a new one. I should have replaced U7100 and the resistors at the same time. My mistake was replacing only U7100 or resistors. I...
